Nowadays, unsafe foods can be found, now and then, in the market, which has aroused a lot of public attention. It is reported that these foodstuff ranges from substandard milk powder, dyed steamed buns to pork with lean meat powder.
Fake commodities are harmful in many ways. To begin with, it is a waste of resource, especially in our country. Second, it has bad effect on the reputation of the real manufacturers and brings about moral Crisis.
Above all, all that matters is food. Peoples health and lives are severely threatened if someone buys some unsafe foodstuff.
Measures should be taken to deal with the problem. On the one hand, strict laws should be passed to punish the producers and the sellers. On the other hand, consumers should be told to distinguish the genuine goods from the false ones. At the same time, the government should strengthen the supervision of all aspects of food.
I firmly believe this problem will be solved in the near future.
Food safety is an important issue under the background of globalization today.Millions illness due to consumption of unsafe food, and many people have lost their lives.Poor quality food for everyone on the planet is a potential danger, it is estimated that 2 billion cases of foodborne disease occur each year.Therefore, food safety issues have caused concern around the world.
In May 1963, the 16th session of the World Health Assembly approved the establishment of the FAO/WHO joint food standards programme, the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) as its main institutions. In 1974 the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization(FAO) sounds the alarm bell to globe for the first time in the world food summit,first proposed the “food security” problem. In June 20__, the FAO and the World Health Organization convened the global food safety Conference consumer associations from 25 countries, hoped to take the national consumers Association played a greater role in promoting food security, prompting the Government to focus on food safety issues.
The Kingdom of Lesotho is one of the least developed countries, is located in southern Africa, is a landlocked country. The amount of food can not be guaranteed due to the drought caused food shortages brought about a severe famine.Food security has become an important issue. .However, in Africa, there are many countries like my own country, peoples hunger becomes an important factor in food safety.On this issue, my Government believes that:
First, all countries should attach great importance to food security in order to achieve the set at the United Nations Millennium goal of reducing poverty by half by 20__.
Second, both developing and developed countries there is a food safety problem.States should enhance food safety management and supervision, establish and improve the food safety supervision system.
Third,for the least developed countries, to solve the food safety problem should first ensure food supply, and improve agricultural production.
In recent years, we yield reduction and food crisis in the country, identifying appropriate policy objectives to increase food and livestock production to ensure food security.
First, the use of appropriate agricultural practices, agricultural inputs in a timely manner.To increase crop and livestock production, "Food Safety Plan has been implemented first in some specific area, then in full swing in the country. Second, the effective management of land, the land lease system standardization, the establishment of a land information digital systems.
Third, the increased production of livestock and feed. Fourth, the establishment of the market system, promote the sales of agricultural products.
We believe that in our efforts,the food security will be improved.So we hope that the whole world focus on the food safety issues,because the problems are associated with you, me, him.Food safety is the important safeguard in life.We hope that people all over the world can have safe, nutritious food,and hope all the people in the world to have a healthy body!
A Food Poisoning Accident
Last month, I witnessed a food poisoning accident happening to my classmates. At that time the situation was really very dangerous and urgent.
Though finally they got out of danger, this accident is still vivid in my mind.
That day was Julie’s birthday, one of my classmates. In order to celebrate it, her roommates bought a big birthday cake
for her from a supermarket nearby. They shared the cake happily. However, after a while, all of them felt abdominal pain, nausea and dizziness. Two of them even
cannot stand up because of great pain. We rushed to send them to the hospital. It turned out that the cake they ate had expired its guarantee period. Futunately, due to timely treatment, they all recovered very soon.
However, this accident leaves me a deep ponder. I think it is very urgent to take effective measures to improve food safety.
Firstly, the government should strengthen supervision and administration on food safety. More importantly, to those who immoral businessmen, more strict punishment should be given. Besides, we consumers should be more careful in buying food. Only in this way can we make sure that no same accident happens.

2, As we know, The food safety is a serious problem in china, and on campus ,the matter is also exist, and the unhealthy food harm our health everyday. For example, in the morning, you buy a donut [d?un?t] for breakfast, and likely, the donut is made by drainage [dreinid?] oil; and when you hungry you buy kebab [k?b?b], it may be dealed with chemical materials. So even on campus, we also should improve food safety awareness.
3, The unhealthy food seriously harm our body, it can cause different kinds of diseases, from a headache to cancer, This is not a threat, some unhealthy food, Containing various additives. And which give a tremendous threat to us. Some unhealthy food will make us ill, such as diarrhea、stomach ache and other disease of digestive tract. Some food additives use chemical materials to make food looks better, but it will carcinogenic [,kɑ:sin?ud?enik] in a long time.
4, Due to food safety is important in our life, so there so many things waiting for the government to do. 问1 First, Strengthening food safety legislation , and use the experiences of developed countries. Strongly punish criminal for food safety. Second, our government should promote food safety knowledge, to rise people’s of self-protection.
5, What is more, as a postgraduate, we also should do more on food safety.
