My name is Dongqi Yang from china, I am horror to be here today and I am very happy to receive this award.
As you can imagine, as international students in Australia, the biggest challenge is English,I remembered that when I come here first time, there is a party in the house of my home stay. During the time, they played jokes and they laughed all the time, do you know how embarrassed that is, everyone laughed except you. So I pretend to understand the joke in another party, I saw everyone laugh and I laugh too in 5 seconds later. My home stay was surprised about that and asked me “do you understand?”， and I answered “no”， “So why do you laugh?” ”because I do not want to be embarrassed”!
But as I receive this award today, I want to thank to them, because they encourage me to be involved with the committee rather than staying in at home, play computer and speak Chinese.
When I came to Wantirna College first time, I met liz collar who is international student coordinator. She is very kind to me, and she encourage me join SRC, I went to SRC meetings regularly all the time, but I didn’t even know what SRC was! That is the reason why I told her, I don’t want to go to SRC anymore. But she said “why not? You should go and you have to go!”I asked” why?” she said:” because I said so!”
But as ii receive this award today, I want to thank her. She helps me a lot.
Truth be told, I am not the best student in Wantirna College, but I appreciate this award and I will try my best in future.
I think I got 10 seconds left, I want to thank to Les and Vera who is my lovely home stay, thanks to Liz collar who is international student coordinator, I strongly want to thank to my mother, because she support me and gave me the opportunity to come to Australia. And thanks to Wantinran College, thanks to Australia and finally, thanks to everyone to be here tonight.

thank you very much for choosing to e in such a cold night。today my topic is about choice and process。a research shows that a man has to make 73 choices one day。with so many choices one day， people easily get so confused and afraid of making wrong choice that they hesitate and finally miss the true part of life。 in my opinion， the following part is of much more importance than the choice。 there is no absolute right or wrong choice but wonderful or boring life， which the process makes the difference。
life is a box of chocolate，you never know what you will get。 forrest gump made no decision by and for himself but he acplished great success with his strong will in the process。 the process is not the road itself but the attitudes and feelings ，the caution， courage and persistance we have as we encounter new experience and unexpected obstacles。 take myself as an example， i changed my major when i became a postgraduate。 after the choice，days have been harsh for me。i cannot understand the new lessons at all。 for they are closely related to mathmatics which i learned nothing about before。 however wuth the belief that this is the great chance for me to experience new ideas and challenge myself，i persisted。 i asked for help from every channel and reorgonized my life。 gradually i could understand some parts and even found maths interesting。moreover， i learned to act instead of plaining。 in retrospect，the choice left no trace in my mind but the happiness and bitterness of the past four months bees an unforgetable experience in my life。
no matter what the choice is， enjoy the process。 in the process， your potential will be inspired and new discoveries，improvement and progress will e to you。 these are the most beautiful sceneries and only on the way can you see it。these make your life colorful。
there is no need and i donnot want to judge whether it right or wrong for me to be here，but i congratulate to myself for i gain and enjoy this fantastic experience。 so my dear friends，never worry about your choice and enjoy the process。 i am sure you will get something new and intersting tonight after you chose to e here。

I'm very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! To begin with ，I want to ask a question 。Does everybody dream a good dream last night? Actually ，today I want to talk about dream with you。 Of course， What I want to talk is not a dream you have last night，but a dream—— about life。
Everyone has dreams about life， different dreams at different life stage，and we need dreams to support us。 Dreams are like the stars we never reach in the sky，but like most mariners，we can chart our course by them。 With the dream，we have a direction，with a direction， we were no longer confused。With the dream， there is hope，With hope， we have the strength to fight。
I have a dream: To be a doctor。，because doctor may relieve the pain of patients。 May let the human change the health。 At the same time， I believed that， those who help others may be able to obtain joyfully。 Therefore， I hoped in the near future ，I might be a doctor。
But I know，life is tough，and there are always ups and downs， maybe we fail in the way to our aims，and we may feel depressed ，whenever at this time， the dream in our heart can always fort us， encourage us ，and support us to move ahead。
Young!Fortunately， I am young now。 Just due to it， I know that nothing is impossible。I firmly believe that nothing can stand in my way。 If I can't realize my dream，it result from that I haven't work harder enough and I won't find other excuses。 If no people believe you， you can make it to prove that you are right。 If you think the god haven't blessed you and there is no truth here， you can bee the god and create the truth。
“My breath swallows the sky and make the yellow river overflow， my sword is famous in Kyushu and it can collapse the five sacred mountains。” At some time in the past I also had am bitious words and I had some achievements。 Each achievement results from my hard work。 I always believe that “If you want to have more achievements than others， you must work harder。” In some extent， the dream is the hope。 If you can insist on doing something， the victory will e。
Hold fast to dreams， for if dreams die， life is a broken'winged bird that cannot fly。 Hold fast to dreams， for when dreams go， life is a barren field frozen with snow。 So my dear friends， think of your old and maybe dead dreams。 Whatever it is， pick it up and make it alive from today。 Let's" move"out!

I’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! my topic is Opportunities and Challenges。
First， I would like to know， what does your destiny offer you? Happiness， wisdom， a strong body or something else。 If I had asked this question to president Nixon， he would probably had said，”Our destiny offers not the cup of despair， but the chalice of opportunity。”
Needless to say， one of the biggest opportunities given to China is the 2008 Olympic Games。 Till now， we have used two sevenths of the preparation time。 How much changes have you seen? New roads， new subway lines， public-exercising equipments with beautiful colors， large blocks of grass fields， and also lots of modern gyms which are under construction。
Other than those， there are even more good effects brought to us by the Olympic Games that cannot be seen directly。 For example， more and more people will get to know China。 I’m sure the mysterious Chinese culture will attract them strongly。 And the games will also do good to the economy and environment， for it is gaining the attention of foreign investors and the awareness of environmental protection is being strengthened。 What is more， Olympic Games give a unique opportunity to inspire and educate a new generation of Chinese youth with the Olympic values and the Olympic spirit。 Now that we have seen so many advances， could you even imagine us losing the holding rights?
I’ve already said a lot about the Olympics and China。 But I think everyone should use some time to think of this question， ”Does the Olympic Games have any special meaning to you?”
For us， I mean the Chinese youth， 2008 Olympic Games is a tremendous gift。 Because what we are waiting for is to do something significant as repaying the love given to us 。The society is just like a ship， and in our dreams the captain is waving his hand and saying ”Hey! Come here and take the helm! ”How charming his voice is， but we have never heard of it in our true life。 This morning， however， when we wake up， we will see the Olympic Games waving its hand。 After chewing， most of us will have at least one plan about what to do for the Olympic Games。 And mine is to be a “forter” ----that is someone who will give fort to others。
At the end of my speech， I hope all the preparation will go well， and everyone will show their ability to the world。 Let us seize opportunities and give a big smile to challenges。
Saying goodbye to childhood，we step into another important time in the pace of young，facing new situations，dealing with different problems……
everyone has his ownunderstanding of young，it is a period of time of beauty and wonders，only after you have
experienced the sour ，sweet ，bitter and salty can you really bee a person of time of young is limitted，it may pass by without your attention，and when you discover what has happened ，it is always too ping the young well means a better time is waiting for you in the near future，or the situation may be opposite 。
having a view on these great men in the history of hunmanbeing，they all made full use of their youth time ，to do things that are useful to society，to the whole mankind，and as a cosquence ，they are remembered by later
generations，admired by do something in the time of young，although you may not get achievements as these greatmen did ，though not for the whole word，just for youeself，for those around!
the young is just like blooming flowers，they are so beautiful when blooming，they make people feel happy，but with time passing by，after they withers ，moet people think they are so it is the same with young，we are enthusiastic when we are young，then we may lose our passion when getting older and we must treasure it ，don't let the limitted time pass by ，leaving nothing of significance。
